Everyone wants to say they shot a Barrett 50cal. It’s on everyone’s Bucket List. It’s not accurate, it’s not pretty. However, it is PRETTY AWESOME. I had the honor of pouring a lot of ammo through various Barretts throughout my 25 year military career (thanks, tax payers, for feeding my ammo habit). I have many fond memories with this beautiful weapon. It is an awesome weapon that brings a lot of capability to the battlefield. However, many people don’t know too much about it’s back ground.
